Assassin/Ninja Help "cataclysm Is Bad"

I just made this cause people have been giving Cata some crap for being useless now.

Maybe offer improvements to it? With its likely decrease in price I'm thinking of buying one.

Also once I'm richer I'm planning on using Cata + Slayer so if anyone could make a build using that I would be grateful.

 

cataclysm isnt bad, its just very niche atm and its really not worth using over any of the other mythic daggers

Putting Thundra ripsaw in place of cataclysm can be effective for people who don't own the mythic. The damage is 'similar' but the additional HP using thundra brings in comparison to cata does drive away some players, especially after the update. Personally, I still want a cata, cause ez 15-20k spins. Honestly, cata is now balanced, not OP. Cata is no longer an "OMG just got my ticket for free LI and Hive Solo's". It could still solo those dungeons, but that would require added skill now too ;)

Why do people think I'm saying that cata is bad?
I'm not, thats why I put it in quotes...

 

becuase the people who made it forgot what it was, a dagger that dealt the most damage in the game and EXCELS and stands out in damage but they nerfed it in the one way that it was meant to be great

its like saying this to pure "woah 500% spell thats way too much, lets buff its damage and then turn its spell down to 50%"
pure was meant to exccell in spell damage but thats the way they nerfed it BUT with cataclysm they could have just left the damage alone and added tons more of negative hp like -6k minimum or added tons of negative elemental defence
thats why cata is bad now because it doesnt stand out anymore and you need 270% thunder damage to get half the damage you got before with it

 

its still the highest dps weapon in the entire game, get over it

 

I don't think you've ever dueled a cataclysm user if this is your viewpoint on the matter. The problem is, health didn't matter if you utilized vanish correctly. As far as I'm aware of, cataclysm still does the most damage out of any dagger in the game, if you don't like being a glass cannon then don't use it.

 

no I want it to be a glass cannon weapon instead of a watered down version of its self, I said to make the damage greater and make the negative health greater along with negative defences just t0 get its damage back so it is actually worth it

 

when you spent a whole year working towards getting one, then a month later it gets nerfed like this its not so easy to just get over it

this is a build with good health, health regen, and damage; but does not follow "the meta" of spell spam or no negative elemental defense

 

My build was broken due to updates several times, so I know what you are going trough.
The only difference is, so many people acknowledged Cata was being OP. Both in-game and on forums people admitted cata was too good for what it was and knew that if mythics ever get changed, cata would probably receive a substantial nerf. As much as it is our fault for making you disappointed about the situation, this isn't solely on us, but on you as well.
