Cata Major ID from lore.

    What would a cool major id be for cata looking at a lore perspective.

    Despite the existence of the Nether Portal, few believe that it is possible to open such rifts with sheer force alone. None believe that a tool with enough power to accomplish such a monumental feat could exist. And yet...

    I think it would be equally as balanced to have a 1% chance of crashing the entire server when u use any spell

    +Tear Reality: multihit pulls mobs into the multihit.

    Similair to the "The hand" in Jojo, it tears through reality, cutting apart the space between the attack and mobs itself. Keeps up the "cutting through dimensions" vibe and makes it even more of a glass cannon weapon.

    cuz like, when I think of opening rifts I think smth like Palkia spacial rend - which is just air blades but SpAcE; would translate to a higher ranged spin attack or smth

    +Chain: Condense multihit into a single hit
    Idk feels like a good major id for cata

    Rift of Foes [prob needs a better name]: Spin attack has a 10% chance of creating a rift that summons a dernic mob within 10 levels of the player.

    - Thinking the lore said that it can create nether like portals, and the nether portal started the corruption, so thinking that it could spawn an extra mob for you to have to fight.

    creates one nether portal block at an enemy's position when you hit them with your melee. these blocks can replace anything the enemy is currently standing in.

    Tbh I feel like the lore is more based off of spin attack rather than multi.
    So a knockoff aura?
    why not just a corrupted mob since darkness and corruption are two things.

    Tear in reality: Multihit spawns in a rift(either armor stand/blocks) that shatters after 10 seconds. It deals 10% of what the multihit would have dealt total for every second in a 2 block radius and makes all creatures be really fast in a 5 block radius. Shattering is a explosio nthat deals 50% of what the multihit would have dealt total.
    You can use multihit again to recharge it, and it would deal 5+2x% damage but also have 1 second shorter duration, and x is times youve recharged it. except for pure shattering or you did a multitit under a second which gives you the base amount.

    9sec 15% persec 55% shattering
    8sec 22% persec 62% shattering
    7sec 29% persec 69% shattering
    6sec 36% persec 76% shattering
    5sec 43% persec 83% shattering
    4sec 50% persec 90% shattering

    just pure shattering: 150%


    say your pog cataclysm build did 65k multihits with vanish. Also say multihits take 3 second to finish
    10 sec = 6500 dmg a sec with 32500 shattering. 97500 dmg(average) in 10 seconds, and without id you could have gotten 195000(3 multihits)
    9 sec = 9750 dmg a sec with 35750 shattering. 123500 total damage in 9 seconds. without id its 195000(3 multihits)
    8 sec = 14300 dmg a sec with 40300 shattering. 154700 total dmg in 8 seconds. without id probably still around 195000 but less
    7 sec = 18850 dmg a sec with 44850 shattering. 176800 total dmg in 7 seconds. Without id i assume around 13-40000 dmg(2.3 multihits)
    6 sec = 23400 dmg a sec with 49400 shattering. 189800 total dmg in 6 seconds. Without id its 130000 dmg
    5 sec = 27950 dmg a sec with 53950 shattering. 193700 total dmg in 5 seconds. Without id its around 100000-110000
    4 sec = 32500 dmg a sec with 58500 shattering. 188500 total dmg in 4 seconds. Without id its around 70k-80k
    3 sec = 37050 dmg a sec with 63050 shattering. 174200 total dmg in 3 seconds. Without id its 65k
    2 sec = 41600 dmg a sec with 67600 shattering. 150800 total dmg in 2 seconds. Without id its like 30k
    1 sec = 46150 dmg a sec with 72150 shattering. 118300 total dmg in 1 second. Without id its like 10k
    pure shattering: 97500
    Note, to get to pure shattering you have to do 11 multihits. If you were to cycle, you need to do 21 spells.
    The main (not very) balancing around this is the fact you have to make sure the mob is close to the rift while the mob has super speed and then do 5 multihits to get to optimal dmg and then the mob has to be close to it to receive dmg
    Maybe a feature could be that the mobs are also invisible and you take more damage

    small chance to open a rift that deletes the enemy when you use multihit (doesn't work on bosses though that would be kinda funny)
