Can't Use The Seaskipper's Ship?

I know there was the lil update about not buying passes from the merchant anymore, and I was able to use the ship a bit ago but for the past three days no matter how much or where I right-click on the sign, it won't pull up the menu to pay to cross the ocean?? I'm not terribly upset it's just beginning to get a touch boring to movement-spell my way across the ocean between Llevigar and Nemract (and also I've ended up on islands with monsters 40+ levels higher than me when I get lost lmao)

I have never used a forum website before in my life I have no idea what I'm doing aaaa

 

Are you using an empty hand? That’s the only thing I can think of that could mess with this.

 

Adding to what Stormdragon said, maybe try and click above the sign.

 

you need to buy a pass from the merchant then throw the pass into the hopper that is in front of the sign if you want to travel

 

This was changed in the new update.

 

I have encountered the same problem recently, and the outlined troubleshooting methods will not work.

 

For me, it works if you hop off the ship, talk to the sea skipper, hop back on, and talk to the sign with a open hand.

 

Coincidentally, that was the first thing I tried, but alas, no success.
