Can Someone Explain How Archers Do Alot Of Damage?

I don't understand how they do a lot of damage, is it their arrow storm? because when I use it it pushes the mob away and i get virtually no damage off it, or is it the arrow bomb?
*my archer is only lvl 16, so I have no experience with archers at all

 

It depends on your build!

Each spell deals different types of damage by default, and if your build is focused on one of them, you might deal more damage with that spell

 

Its arrow bomb, its worse if they blind you and use arrow bomb.

Or maybe it depends on the build. But do go asking random people about their build. Well you can but... You get the idea.

 

I typically see players relying on arrow bomb as majority of their damage, but this can really depend on what type of build your using.

 

Unless its a boss mob, in which case if your gutsy enough arrowstorming into a corner then spamming arrowstorm will destroy it

Ah, no worries, I'll clear this up for ya, me, the level 66 Archer that's played and worked to get to level 66 since.. *cough* VIP town .-.

Arrow Storm is typically a high damage spell, mainly when used in a corner and after you've gotten the level 3 version of it. At level 3, it shoots 3 rows of arrows, getting about 60 arrows out, and for me, each one deals about 30 damage, so that's a big amount right there. Couple that with the added enchantments or identifications, and it gets quite powerful.

Arrow Bomb on the other hand, is a massively powerful spell no matter how you use it, and it's got a giant AoE when maxed too, due to it's bouncing ability, and it's general range of damage. In one flat shot, Arrow Bomb is the most powerful, but in total, Arrow Storm is the strongest spell in general.

A lot does hinge on your build though, so keep that in mind too.

 

um i may have put 20 points into dex, and if i want arrow bomb i think i want str? so should i just allocate the rest of my points into str and forget about dex, or would it be fine if i put points into both?

 

If you focus on the natural element that the spell deals (For example, Arrow Storm deals Thunder damage) your elemental damage would explode. My Arrow Shield's neutral damage is even with my Arrow Bomb, but it deals 2k Air damage and 1k Water damage.

Hmmm... Arrow Storm is also okay, so I suggest you add points into both

 

The are a looooot of ways you can play archer. I have one that has an extremely op bomb arrow (Fire/Earth) and then a Melee? Archer (Water/Thunder/Air) that focuses on blinding things before pushing them into a corner and using arrow storm from 1 block away to do massive damage. Of course, running into things with arrow shield and watching them get launched away is fun too, and my build has a really powerful arrow storm and shield.

 

Arrow bomb needs a nerf.
