Can I not open my Blizzard crate if I died while obtaining it?

I was jumped by zombies without realizing while checking out the crate, and I no longer have access or have any idea what was even in the chest. Is it just doomed or am I able to reopen it? I tried clicking the link to see rewards, but nothing happened.

 

You should have still gotten whatever was inside of it. Try looking at your cosmetics with /use. It could have been a gear skin, player effect, or pet
