I chatted with a player (not mentioning his/her name) who I asked what's better to get PC Parts and build it with a cheaper price, or getting a gaming laptop worth 1000$, but here's the real talk.

I'm thinking to get a new PC. Most Gaming PC are usually very expensive so I thought I need a new PC by building it, because I apparently use Intel G41 Chipset which CANNOT support Overwatch and I usually have experiences crashing on Minecraft, due to low FPS. Here's what I got on my list (will update) to get and tell me what you guys think and what can I improve on building a new PC.

PC Case: NZXT Source 210 Elite (Mid Tower)
    Power Supply: Corsair CX430
    Processor: AMD Black Edition FX-6300
Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
    Motherboard: Gigabyte AM3+ AMD 760G
Dual Channel: Corsair Vengeance 2x4 GB
Solid-State Hybrid Drive (SSHD): 1TB Toshiba 2.5-inch SATA III SSHD
Graphic Card: EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GT 730 2GB

All will be a total of around 500$.

    1. What's worth having? A complete PC parts pack costing this much. Or having a portable laptop being built already, but being 2x its price?

    2. Are there any better parts for each, since I'm going for cheap and effective price.

    3. How much FPS do you think it will increase? I usually get around 40-70 FPS with my G41 Chipset

I would say A Complete PC parts pack,
I would recommend you changed the Intel Pentium to Something like a ICore 5-7 with a hight GHZ, the Higher the GHZ the more ram the PC Can actually use, eg my Pc is ICore 5 with GHZ 2.5 wich means it can use up to 2.5 gbs of ram with out slowing down

Dont mark me on this, :D

TBH, I'm onto more of cheap and budget stuff (don't judge about me about that). What I see of that is being pretty expensive, so I came for the G3258, instead. Sure that I can go for the GHZ, but I'm too poor to get it. And idk about refurbished, despite being 3x less costly :/

If you have any other suggested processors that are around the G3258's price, thanks.

EDIT: I just looked up the Core i5. It looks expensive, but I checked under 100$ and I found one with 60$ and 45$.

    1. What's the speed of the ram? (Mhz) (and is it ddr3 or ddr4)

    2. Why a pentium? More and more newer games won't support dual core CPUs (there's a few now that don't) I would go for a i3 at minimum (and I would always go for a i5 over a i3 if I could afford it) (oh also it has trouble on a lot of the big titles like intense stuttering or freezing so..)

    3. Everything else is fine but the storage.. It's awfully low and you might regret getting that much.

Oh also no offense but the stuff Ragni (ironically my ign is King_of_Ragni) said is erm.. A bit (a lot) off..

    1. The Corsair Vengeance LP 8 is a 1600 MHz (DDR3).
    2. The Pentium was the only thing that got in my head ever since I watched a video with a 850$ build. Because of its cheap price, it was the only thing I can think of being under $100. Now you said it, I might go for the AMD Black Edition FX-6300.
    3. I'ma agree on that. Something that is viable enough for storage like 360 GB, 480 GB, 600 GB? Anything that has to be less than $100? The games that I own are apparently only Minecraft and Overwatch.

    1. The the ram is fine. 2. I don't know much about amd CPUs but that one seems fine. 3. Get something like a 1tb WD Blue hdd there only 50$ on Amazon (7200 rpm)

    Also what's your budget here?

Perfect. A 1TB SSD is good enough since I own a 1TB on my old PC also, and I also would install other games in the future, as well with other gaming software to configurate my PC peripherals.

I'm not entirely how I can answer that question, but the budget is finding the lowest viable price I can get for my new PC. The parts were pretty easy to find under 100$, with the exception of the Graphics Card. I'm having troubles finding a low price graphics card, so you don't mind helping me what is the best graphics card under $100?

Honestly, I only shop at Walmart because it's the only place where I can shop online with my age (15). Like how I got my Deathstalker Essential (which I now regret buying it). I don't know about Amazon, since I'm underage and I'm not allowed to shop, unless my parents can let me shop though otherwise I can just get a gift card on Amazon.

And about the storage, a 1TB HDD maybe nice but would noticed it's slower than SDD. While a 1 TB SSD is damn expensive, like 6x its price. I'll go with the 1TB HDD or, if recommending, the OCZ 480 GB if SDD (Despite its price being over 100$).

Oh didn't realize that, you also will probably be fine with that ssd unless you want to download a ton of stuff (also I personally would reccomend that you get a Intel core i5-6400 with a lga-1151 mb) (for eg something like this https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01B4U47E4/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1470695922&sr=8-3&pi=SX200_QL40&keywords=lga+1151+motherboard&dpPl=1&dpID=51VpX6l+daL&ref=plSrch )

I only own Minecraft and Overwatch, so I would be totally find with the SSD. But the processor and mb combo, ehh, isn't okay because I'm targeting items that are mostly below 100$ (Despite only the MB cost 65$). Despite the recommendation, I think I'll stick with the MSI Z97 PC Mate + AMD FX-6300.

I would say dont risk it on that power supply, get one from corsair or EVGA. If your powersupply fails it may take the entire system with it, not worth the risk

Oh the z97 motherboard type isn't compatible with amd CPUs this type is however https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/s/ref=is_s_ss_i_0_4_aps?k=am3+motherboard&rh=i:aps&sprefix=am3+motherboard&rh=i:aps&sprefix=fx+6&rh=i:aps&sprefix=am3+ (It's am3+ not am3 btw) (oh and I can't quote but mishapen is right I would go for Evga or a well known brand)

I guess the Corsair CX430 would be good to replace.

You mean the Gigabyte AM3+ AMD? If so, I guess a 55$ motherboard would be good, since I would get the AMD FX-6300 (Obviously).

Interesting answer. I would get myself a 2x8GB ram (Which is like 75$).

Ram doesn't make everything insanely faster its mainly the hd but also a better cpu and gpu will help
(More ram doesn't make everything faster and faster unless the program or whatever needs more)

    Fuck Overwatch, play TF2 instead.

Nobody should have to pay $60 for a hatless clone of TF2.

Ram is how much gigs your computer can go b4 lagging, so it kinda does affect speed.
