Build Build Opinions

Hello!
Working on a build and was wondering if I could get some opinions, Specifically on the floor pattern in the first image. Its a solo project so going off of my judgment alone atm.

I know some people prefer this style... so I'm going to ask off the bat before I say any critique. Do you prefer 'messy' detail or blocks covering every wall spot to make it appear as though it has intense detail? I just need to understand if that is kind of what you are going for here. :P

Ahhh yeahhh... I can't offer much advice then other than the palette choice. :P
You've chosen almost every type of plank with grey and green carpet, which from a personal view is a bit clashing. Try to bring together maybe a smoother palette for the outside ground. So maybe instead of grey carpet, either take it out or maybe replace it with brown carpet, to harmonize your palette. Having the planks on the ground, as well as the buildings also create a blend between the terrain and buildings, which doesn't really let the eye enjoy the buildings themselves as a separate entity from the surrounding terrain.
This is the general feeling I kinda get from this, and it's completely up to you whether you trial out the ideas or not. :D Keep up the building!

 

It's a bit messy in my opinion. Maybe remake the pallette ;)

The only thing I can tell you is: do not spam.
Try to do fewer details, but most large and significant details ;)

I like the feel of it but it almost seems like there is too much detail, it seems a bit messy and unharmonised.

 

I really don't like saying this, but it is just over detailed, also you are using to many blocks try only using a set type of block for example stone, log, wood.

 

Your style works, but try to have less of the messy appeal (less slabs, stairs, etc) so others can see what they're looking at =) it's a really neat concept, though!
