bugged out and stuck in acquiring credentials

Took me several tries to get through the pirates, but I think I was missing my cue to follow the mechanic to the cave the fist few times. Got the eggs, took the ship back, went with Doan to the Blackbird Inn, but the dialog with the bartender starts before we actually get all the way there. Get there and the wall is not open to the black market and the barman won't talk; get the "too busy" message. I try leaving and coming back. No good. The I tried disconnecting, reconnecting and picking the quest again, hoping it would reset to a logical place. It is at "Enter the black market and talk to the vendor" as the step. Wall is closed up. Doan is nowhere to be found. The bartender that is the NPC that interacts for the quest is not there. There is a second bartender who ignores you that was always there. No one is at the customs office. No mechanic. I have the dragonling egg in my inventory, but it looks like I am stuck in this quest and blocked from doing Flight in Distress.

This is really getting frustrating.

 

not sure why I put this in questions. I think the question I have about any kind of support to help remedy these kinds of problems was answered on another stuck quest. I know that actually fixing the code so that it doesn't happen to others takes time. What I wish could be done, and doesn't seem unreasonable, is that someone could set the status on quests that can't be finished because of bugs as complete when they are blocking other quests. Between 2 bugged quests, I am blocked from doing 3 others.
