Class Base Damage
Mage: * 0.6
Warrior: * 0.8
Assassin: * 1.0
Archer: * 1.2
Shaman: * 1.2
these muptipliers are applied when creating weapons, to properly balance the class around the tools and spells they have. Comparing one spell multiplier from one class to one from another class is almost usually a bad way to go about comparing things.
tldr eidolon vs sonic boom moment, madness meteors dealing 100k on shaman moment
tl;dr from comments above and my thoughts:
Multihit and smoke bomb also have really high DoT and vanish gives an 80% dmg boost.
Weapon base dmg exists.
Class base def exists (Assassin has 100%, Archer has 60%).
Archer needs to get close for highest dps but when you get close with Divzer you usually die.
Warrior is really good, but not because of its dps (don't get me wrong, warrior has pretty high dps but no class can get close to assassin in terms of dps) but because of its tankyness and group buffs.
I am experiencing organ failure as an assassin player after reading this post
-spell multipliers (if you had a class that had 100000% spell multi but took 30 seconds to charge up I would say that's more than deserved)
-assassin has aoe on everything
-archer needs to get close to actually deal 600%, usually you'll be rolling with 200-300%
and that's ignoring sustain and base defense and all that good shit
200% and 300% are still better than a spin but archer takes a while to shoot all the arrows
i might as well make a new thread about buffing general assassin lvl 100 daggers, because they literally can be outclassed/dps met by like lvl 75+s
istg I'm loosing more braincells the more time I spend being on this thread
also archer is literally invulnerable against melee mobs

please no, the assassin mains dont want more pain plz. assassin overall is already great. the skill aspect is only capped by how skilled the player is. most "lvl 100" daggers can do tons of dps, flameshot, bygones, black, etc. assassin's spell damage and spells are balanced well imo. and before you make a post on something, try actually playing the class first and doing

cataclysm since its introduction has done ridiculous damage and barely been nerfed
this recent nerf is barely anything, ngl I think it deserved higher nerfs
The hardest content is with ranged mobs (TCC, wars)
I agree with this post, cata should get +4200-7800hp to make up for it’s really bad dmg
make cata a legendary so that nons can get it! then its buffed because everyone can have!!!!111!
I'm confused on why you decieded to pick the main damage spell of every class, but not for Assassin. The main damage ability of assassin is muiltihit, which does 400% damage.
My best guess is that picking the highest damage spell of every class but Assassin helped you make it look like an actual citristism.
Look, even if you ignore muiltihit, as everyone has pointed out, theres 5 issues with this compression.
1. It ignores base damage
2. Muiltihit is an instant cast
3. It applies a blind to enemies
4. It ignores spell cost
5. It ignores vanish

archer out ranges the ranged mobs in wars, shield protects from the melee mobs.
tcc you outrange the boss and can kill it before the peskies even become an issue
arrow shield is literally the best spell in the game (did i mention it also does the most dmg of any spell ingame? it also extends the range of arrow storm/bomb by like one block - actual god tier spell)
Are you sure you know how wars work? The tower damages you, no matter where you are. Ranged minions spawn in the middle between the outer border and the tower so they always can hit you.
You only can outrange the first two phases.
It does high damage but can't be spammed. And that high dmg also is tributed among many arrows, and usually only a few of them hit your main target.
