    ive seen that i can put 2 different tiereed horses into a 2x2 crafting window for breeding. are there any benefits or drawbacks to breeding like this? which horse does it use to determine the tier of the new horse?

    It is my understanding that there is no benefit to this and it just increases the chances of unfavorable outcomes in breeding.
