Bob's Lost Soul Depressing Spear

Hello so I am stuck in Bobs Lost Soul quest line at the depressing tools section,
I got all the other tools except for the spear because when I kill the lynx for Lucky Lynx Foot drop,
It seems like there is no drop rate I have been farming them for like 3+ hours and nothing,
Even the xp given has gone down in this time I have seen it in the market but it is slightly too expensive,
So I really hope I can still do this the right way with out needing to buy it.

Any suggestions or help would be great.
