Uhh just stumbled upon this when I was looking through your recent activity. How the he'll did you do this? Normally you just have to write the @ and then type the name. I guess you created a link but that way I didn't get an alert.

Just type the @ and then type the name like this @Dafoxey. If you did the @ and then start to write my name a little pop up window should appear where you can click on my name.

 

i know what i did wrong i just coppied your username a pasted it with a "@"
and sorry i have to go looks like i cant do it tonight

I think that should work.
Oh and I see it worked now. But if you edit a tag into your message the tagged person won't get an alert. The person only gets an alert if you tagged them in you original message.
