Best Element?

Are there any elements/stats that are significantly better/worse than the rest. To me, dex/lightning seems kinda underpowered, although I suppose it depends alot on the class/subclass.

 

There's really no "best element"- it depends on your class, build, playstyle, etc.
For example, thunder generally has the highest damage at the cost of being somewhat inconsistent and usually not very tanky, water-based builds usually have high mana sustain but less damage, earth-based builds are generally melee-oriented, and fire/air give more ehp.
Mobs can also have elemental resistances or weaknesses, but these really don't matter until you get to stronger enemies like TNA or Qira which have quite high elemental defenses, making attacks of certain elements deal less damage.

 

I mainly spec into fire/defence points because that extra chonk can save my life if I lag (which I often do). As for elemental damage it really depends on the enemy, Bob's Reincarnation has defence against all elements so the best damage would be neutral, while Solar Vanguard has defence against fire, air, and thunder but is weak to water so the best elemental damage would be water. But if you are talking powders for general gameplay I think fire or water because they both give decent damage boosts for the t4 ability.
