Best Build And Bow To Use To Fight The Corrupter Of Worlds?

I'm a lvl 68 archer using Olux's Prized Bow and about to fight the CoW with a lvl 68 assassin friend. Any additional tips and tricks for this battle are greatly appreciated!

 

For weapon, since it has Fire/Air weakness and has defensive on the other elements, I used Acrobat with 2 fire powders(Tier IV). Olux weapon might be the bad choice since its level is also on 50s..

For build, I suggest you to use mana regen items with high intelligence. Just one thing you have to do is not letting it get close to you. Keep use 'Arrow Shield' and 'Escape' with stomp to stun it. (If it is at corner, arrow storm to deal high damage. Else, melee for courage special and 'Bomb Arrow' for damage.)
Or since your party is assassin, just let him keep stunnig him by using spin attack.

Strategy. Since arena has the 'n' shape, if you stun it at left side and run to the right side, it can't catch you because of the wall. And you can attack it by bomb arrow.

 

One thing to keep in mind is to not push him when he's close to the wall with arrow shield. More times than not he'll glitch through the wall and basically ruin the fight.

Otherwise as mentioned above keep your distance, arrow bomb and arrow shield if he does get close, and make sure you have good intelligence and mana, as well as if you do take damage, heal immediately. Play it safe and you'll be good c:

 

Would Redbeard's Hand Canon be helpful in the fight, since it has a lot of neutral damage?

 

No, unless you have specialized on superslow weapons. Try this build: https://wynndata.tk/s/RZiJyc. (remember to add 2 tier IV Fire powders on the bow.) You can of course change the bow if you dont have it. In that case use acrobat. I prefer Clairvoyance because of the mana regen. If you use one with 2 Tier Iv fire powders you dont need air powders because of arrow shields air damage. (He WILL hit your shield many times.) I killed him with that. Now dont try to do any fancy tricks in the battle, heres what to do:

Keep arrow shield up at all times.
Kill his spawn first. (preferably shoot a bomb between him and his spawn so it deals dmg to both)
Keep running away from him, if he manages to get a combo on you DON'T PANIC. Use arrow storm to knock him away. (Or arrow shield if you have enough mana) This is the best piece of advice i can give you. Keep calm, and it'll be easy.
Don't Spam bomb, use it 2-3 times so that you still have mana. (Incase he gets a combo on you, if that happens use arrow shield or arrow storm.) And then wait for your mana to regen. Repeat.
Use Escape before battle but don't use it in battle to get away. Use it only if your speed goes out. In a successful battle this shouldn't happen more than 2 times.
Don't rely on spells only, attack normally when low on mana.
Once your powder special is ready use arrow shield before it, then spam bombs on the corrupter for maximum damage.
Stat Pots are optional. (if you buy one buy defense or intelligence.)
Heal pots are very much recommended since archer does not have heal.

Overall keep his spawn and him away, and dont go too low on mana. 6-8 is alright. if he's far away then it can be 5-7.
I'd say don't go through the trouble to kill redbeard 8 times the corrupter can be killed without redbeards weapon.

I can also give you a low-level tank build (10,000 health with almost no drawbacks for the fight) with good dmg but that requires a lot of legendaries for your level.

Oh and elemental defenses have no value in the fight, he deals neutral dmg.

I just kinda used infinity and killed him with 4/4s mana regen and only 6k hp
so uh

I killed him first with infinity too, and my second try i killed him with that set i posted. From my experience, the set and tactic i posted worked way better. It is possible to kill it with any weapon, though i recommend getting a weapon/set that works best.

 

Most of the time, no but it depends on the powders that you put on it.

https://wynndata.tk/s/Zfq5b1 is the same build for CoW except it's Acrobat instead of the Hand Cannon. As you can see, the damage is slightly higher.

The Hand Cannon has much less walk speed, which is already not that great for this boss.

The Hand Cannon Requires more powders, making it less cost-efficient

A couple of things to note with powders:

Wind Prison isn't actually completely useless in this situation, as the knockback/stun can serve as a substitute for arrow shield when you're out of mana.

If you put higher tier powders on the Hand Cannon, you may be able to get higher damage on CoW, but I wouldn't suggest it since you probably won't be using the hand cannon for a very long time.
