Seriously though, out of all the controversies, this is what people are focusing on? Just why would anyone take this seriously to give a shit about this? Who gives a flying fuck about “world-building” in Sesame Street?! Besides the whole situation, them being gay doesn’t change anything about the show unless if they show them having anul sex. But obviously that’s not going to happen, so why does the sexuality of puppets on a children show matter?

Basically, the writer of the show for the past decade and a half confirmed in an interview that Bert and Ernie are gay. But the producers of the show stepped in and denied that they were, and so did the creator. But overall this whole situation is just retarded.
