Community Event Battle Of The Locations [intermission]

Hello, my name is WithTheFish. A month ago I made a thread called "battle of the quests", where 64 quests were voted on in a bracket-style tournament. In the end only one quest could win, and that quest ended up being 1000 Meters Under.

That weird tournament ended up being pretty popular, so I figured I might as well make another one, this time centered on locations. I took a look at the Wynncraft map and selected 64 labeled locations that I felt were important to Wynn's gameplay, whether they were popular or not.

Like last time, this tournament will be split into multiple rounds, where two locations face off against one another. Only one location can win, and the victor will then go up against another winning location. This repeats until there's one winner... but will it be the ultimate location?

The 64 locations are split into 4 groups, which are as follows:





Once the finals are over and a winner has been chosen, it's then time for the bonus round!

On the "what's ur favorite area" threads, Troms and Detlas always are the most popular choices. So I felt that if I included them in the tournament, it would end up being more boring. That's how I came up with the bonus round: will the tournament winner be more popular than Detlas or Troms?

Every few days, I'll post a new google forms survey for you to vote on. In each one, you're asked to choose between two quests. Whichever one gets more votes advances to the next round.

Some areas were really hard to compare, seeing as they're sometimes very different.

Half moon island used to be amazing, and then the idiotic builders (jk) remade it, and now it looks dreadful!!

 

Crap, I didn't even notice that. Gonna replace the pigman's ravines in group 3 with "dark forest" since I forgot to include that one.

Detlas is probably the best city because you can:

Bank
ID Guy
Black Smith
Every Crafting table
Very close to every refinery
Powder merchant
Test dummies
Quick Travel to Cinfras
Quick Travel to Ragni

I don't think any other city can beat this.

 

Ice Islands over the Black Road?

Are you serious?

 

This was one of the hardest choices to be fair, and I personally prefer Black Road myself. I've heard dislike from both sides, so I just went the place with the most usefulness, being Ice Islands with the whole bank, identifier and item buyer and whatnot, plus a pretty good at-level item merchant.

 

Voting for the first two groups is over! Here are a few things I noticed:

• Cinfras and Molten Heights won in a landslide
• Jofash Docks and the Ice Islands barely won. I wonder how they'll fare against one another.
• Lexdale lost, but it did better than I expected.
