Attack Speed

I use Ethereal as my weapon, which has a "Very Fast Attack Speed." How many armor pieces/accessories that have an Attack Speed Tier boost could I apply before the attack speed of the weapon reaches the maximum speed limit?

 

Not sure, it might be infinite. However, not a lot of armor pieces have more tier attack speed. Also, few weapons have more tier attack speed, but you'll need to change your weapon for that.

The attack speed caps out at the "Super" tier.
The tiers go Super Slow -> Very Slow -> Slow -> Normal -> Fast -> Very Fast -> Super Fast
Very Fast is only one tier behind Super Fast, so you really shouldn't worry about it.

 

Really? I remember their being a Gavel teaser video where Salted and another dev were punching each other at a speed of 20 hits/second (every ingame tick), but I didn't think that would be possible in the final product.

I know very fast attacks like your fist, so super fast is probably 1.5x of that

 

Wait really? Wow that's boring. Why does it cap out at Super? That makes speed tier boosts useless for Super Fast weapons.

 

...to be honest, not sure. I've only heard that it caps out. I know, it would be cool to be infinite... but then things like Taurus would be really terrible.

 

That part was just them trolling around with broken items.

I think it's somewhere around 1 hit every 5-10 ticks. Super Fast is very rare because of this.
