Assassin Archetype

Does anyone know what is the best archetype for assassin and what type of heavy melee or spell spam build would go with it. (no mythics cuz broke)

 

No archetype is the "best".
Actually I heard Trickster is garbage so either Acrobat or Shadestepper.

Shadestepper is most like 1.20 Assassin and can work well with heavy melee or spell builds. Any heavy melee build like idk Anvil Crawler and stuff would work well. Perhaps even heavy spell builds and heavy hybrid, since Shadestepper is burst or damage per hit.
Acrobat is more spell-based, particularly of the spam kind, even though shurikens are kind-of a melee thing.

As for specific builds idk.

 

Shadestepper is best for single hit burst damage (Heavy melee works but you'll probably get more use out of heavy spell)

Trickster is meant to be a tank/support archetype as it has mob agro and Clones reduce the damage you take

Acrobat is best used for spell spam since you need to cast spells frequently to stay airborne, and other abilities help you regenerate mana when you're airborne and attacking enemies below you
