Archer Or Shaman?

I just joined the server and I'm having a hard time choosing between archer or shaman. I've gotten level 10 in both but idk which one I've had more fun with. I really like being able to have lots of speed and to solo bosses so from I've seen, archer is the way to go. My friend is having trouble getting the pack to work so he can't play the server and he's tried tons of forum tutorials but they haven't worked. He was going to go archer and I was going to go shaman and we were going to play together. I'm not personally a fan of doing area damage but I like the idea of having fun spells to use in battle but........ since my friend isn't playing rn he isn't archer and I don't have a friend to do bosses with. I like getting in the action and feeling immersed and like I'm actually engaged in combat. When I play games (example: terraria) I tend to pick magic classes because of the cool items they get. However they both seem fun and well made. From the forum posts I've read shaman can't take down bosses solo well and I'm not sure if my friend will be able to play with me ever so idk what to do. Sorry for the long thread and run-on sentences but please help if possible


edit: Also I'd like a class that's good but the kind of good where you'll still be stressed about surviving

 

You can always just do both; use Archer when you play by yourself and Shaman whenever your friend is able to play.

Every class has spells. From what I've seen, Archer's look more fun to use than Shaman's, but that's up to personal preference.

I don't know where you read this, every boss is soloable, some might be really difficult, but still, every class can solo every boss at level. I consider Shaman to be the most overpowered class, in fact.

You're still very early on in the game, a class has all it's abilities unlocked at level 31, and completely upgraded at 66, playing a class to 10 doesn't tell much yet, but as has been said before, you can always play both.

 

Firstly, getting to level 10 doesn’t really give you a full experience to decide on. If you’re new to the game I wouldn’t advise starting on either since they have lower defences, but I started on archer and had no real issues. Shaman, in my opinion, is the hardest class to play due to low defences and having to use spells at set locations (where your totem is)...

So to summarise, I’d try out all the classes and decide on your play style. If your already set on archer/shaman, I’d say go for archer.
