the item identifier is a villiger you can go to to identify your items to unlock their true potential, it can give you different buffs that will help you through out your travels.
dunno about bows that much.
no use for tales I can remember. mashed insects are used for a quest (start farming them). coyote fang is used to buy tribal armor (maybe for a quest I cant remember). snowman heart is useless. you can use wolf fang to buy tribal armor.
xp farming, a tiny mini boss and a tier iv loot chest.

1) Don't know what tomb you're asking about, but if it's the one for Wrath of the Mummy, you need 1 Pink Wool so that the Bandit lets you pass.
2) Ocean Mini-Dungeon, Selchar, Mage Island, and a lot others. They're mostly used for quests.
3) Yes.
4) Don't spread them out. For Warrior, 70 AGI/70 DEF is really good. For Archer, try to invest in either DEF or AGI. For Mage, invest in STR/INT, and Assassin, invest in DEX/STR/AGI.
5) Complete the Drought Sand quest at level 32.
6) There's really no definite number to this, but I consider 16 LE (Liquified Emeralds) a lot.
7) It lets you "identify" or upgrade items.
8) Well, if you can find something better, use it.
9) To sell at a Junk Merchant. Some are used for quests.
