This is really awesome. I'm stunned that we have such talented people in this awesome music!
I always wanted to compose music. Any advice on where to start? Because I always 'compose' music in my head, but I have no idea on how to make those real...
I want to make music for my adventure maps, I know this is a huge pro in a map

This is pretty much my whole musical life summarized...

For me when I started making music I was about 10-11 years old, I technically wrote my first song when I was 7-8 years old but I hadn't started taking piano lesson (which really help-- theory*, ear training*) until I was 10-11 years old. I had seen a software call "FL studios" that could be downloaded for free with the only con being that you couldn't open saved file (but you could still save files, but you'd be unable to open them until you get the full version) . That + Piano lessons + LISTING TO MUSIC YOU LOVE*(and importantly studying it[witch can be don't just by listening to it]) + buying an orchestral software called "EWQL"(you can buy different software [or find free ones] based on your ideas of what you want to write) is what got be started.
Now a days I just write what feels good while listen to weird and cool stuff and try my best to learn from it(e.g click and listen to until 0:45 - part of what makes that song so good is the sweeping strings, and how the brass follows the string's volume. Also the whole song is just built up around being built up). I'd be lying if I said my piano teacher wasn't any help, and he is still to this day. Almost all my orchestration knowledge was self taught by watching videos and stuff like that.

    * Theory is the study of harmony and and can help you figure out which notes to use

    *
Ear training will help you with that, ear training can help put what melodies and harmony you have in you head and write it down on piano, then later into software to synthesize or orchestrate it.

*If you don't like music, you can't write music. (he-hey that rhymed)

[!]Sorry if there is bad grammar, not my best subject.
