Actual stable Minecraft version?

Some of ppl will answer this 1.12.2 maybe because of the mods and modpacks are in 1.12.2. But what if the actual stable version was in 1.16+. I have doing a quick experiment on both server and i found this when I was testing on chat. Let me know what do you guys think and also the reason I'm doing this because i was curious and also wanted to play minecraft on the latest version and also wynncraft with some enhance mod like Wynntils at the same time.

Version 1.12.2 is KNOWN as the best version, and you (probably) can only use Wynntils at 1.12.2.

 

Like 2 or 3 months ago I've seen some mod say that most problems with stability 1.16 used to have, it no longer has and that 1.16 vanilla is no less stable than 1.12 vanilla.

 

awwww dang I wish the admin made 1.16+ stable for mods or if it's minecraft related i wish 1.18 will fix it
