About Melee Damage

I heard a friend say that he had negative spell damage, but it didn't change the damage he dealt because he only did elemental damage, no neutral damage, and that you need negative elemental damage to change the damage he did. So idk if this is true, but does a weapon that does only elemental damage get affected by + melee damage (mainly need to know about % melee dmg)?

 

Melee dmg is neutral dmg. So if you have -element dmg it wont affect it and if you have -melee dmg it wont affect elemental dmg.

 

% affects everything, including elemental. Raw is just neutral damage
