    So according to lore, Garoth is the second creature to become corrupted by the Nether Portal. So the Garoth you meet in normal Lost Sanctuary, is already corrupted. Then who is "Corrupted Garoth", from Corrupted Lost Sanctuary? Is he now "Corrupted Corrupted Garoth?" So basically what I infer is that creatures can be corrupted... twice?

    The corrupted dungeons are either
    A) The future
    B) An alt. timeline
    C) An elaborate illusion
    D) Somehow, the past or present?!?!?
    Anyways, the lore in them is messy. I’d guess that non-corrupted Garoth was still Garoth, but just gone mad from the revelation, while ”corrupted Garoth” is Garoth after corruption took over every part of Garoth, not just the mind.

    But anyways, no offical answer to thag. All we can do is guess.
