But, they're really small in proportion to her head. They should be the length of the chin to right above the eyebrows. Like this:

Oh yah, a tip:
I'm guessing what you're doing now is ticking keep opacity on the lineart layer and just filling it w one color
You can always make the lineart different colors in different areas :p personally, my general rule is that my lineart is darker than my coloring no matter where...
Ex. In your hair you can try and make the lineart darker so your dark hair color doesn't steal the emphasis

Honestly though, how do you choose such cute color palettes?

 

Ah! I'll have to fool around with that or go through the layers and experiment with it!

also for the palettes thing, ; n ; Idunno really, I'm typically shy with bright colors and I'm more on the grey-type color'd-person?
I just steal my colors from past and move hues around with the circle thing. (i'm terrible at explaining this i'm so sorry)
But for shading I move the hue around. (like for red, I'd use a dark purple ye)
