Welcome everyone! This is an idea that I had in mind for a while now, and I finally decided to give it a go.

The idea is to try and speedrun as fast as possible the ??? quest, to see how fast people can complete something that a lot of players struggled with especially in the past, but still gives new players a rough time.

The contest will start right now and will end on Saturday 4 June at 22:00 GMT+2​

1. No glitches/bugs​

Remember that abusing glitches is against Wynncraft rules. If you somehow glitch unintentionally and you gain advantage, the run won't count.


2. Video proof

Atleast 1 of your team must be recording from the beginning to the end, and must publish it on youtube. The recording must start from the meteors (right before getting tped) and end when your whole team gets in Mehme's room.
The recording must be uncut, unedited, and clear (no several fps drops/lag spikes that may altern the calculation of the time)

3. Time

The speedrun time will start when after you get tped from the meteors you appear in the computer room. It will end when your whole team gets in Mehme's room


4. Attempts

You are allowed to try as many times as you want, only the best will count.


5. No /class

Switching classes is not allowed. The run must begin and end with all the team sticking with the same class the whole time.


6. Teleports

When there is an intended teleport from the quest, your whole team must be present at all times, and wait to get teleported. Only after you can separate to get to the next stage. (the meteors tp is an exception, you only have to be 3 of your team to get tped, 1 per meteor).

This means that you must progress through the quest as you would normally do in order to complete it: Entering computer room, enter yayha's basement, get teleported to Lab N via yahya's basement, get teleported out of Lab N via the tp capsule, enter Mehme's room.

This is because the contest is intended to see how fast a whole group of 4 players (1 team) could complete the quest (even if they've already done it).


7. Items

You're allowed to use teleport scrolls only after an intended tp from the quest (example: when you finish lab N and enter the room with the key, you must be teleported using the warp capsule from the quest. Only when you appear in rooster island you can use a scroll)
You can prepare everything that you want in advance.
You can use any item (horses, mythics to normal, crafted, food/scrolls, etc) only if you respect the rules.


8. Teams

You must be 4 different people (no alts are allowed). You are allowed to switch teammates, meaning that if you've completed a run with a certain group, you're free to try with other people. You also must be in a /party at all times.
Any help of any type from players that are not from the team are not allowed.


9. Prizes

The team with the best time will receive 256 Liquified Emeralds (64 LE per person).
The second team with the best time will receive 144 Liquified Emeralds (36 per person).
The third team with the best time will receive 112 Liquified Emeralds (28le per person).

If the team with the second best time has more than 1 player that is also part of the 1st team, it won't count and the prizes will pass on to the other best time available. Same rule also applies for third place.​

Rules may change depending on the progression of the event.​

Unfortunately, since we didn't have a third submission, we decided to split the 112LE from third placement between all the other participants. ):

First placement will get 78LE each
Second placement will get 50LE each

Despite that, it was really fun to see a group pushing the limits of speedrunning ???, and be able to go below 2 minutes, and to have another cool group that clearly had a good time while doing it!

I'll try to make other contests (that preferably don't involve having a group and ???), but first I need to refill my bank (:

About the prize pool, I'm putting myself 2 stacks alone, and I don't have a lot of money, nor do I have mythics that I could sell to get some raw. I asked a bnnch of people if they wanted to contribute, but they either basically said no, or didn't answer. That's why contributions would be really appreciated as I wrote above.

 

Cool announcement: I'm putting 5 stacks total to the prize pool, and an extra 3 stacks have been added thanks to this cool person @SirJooJ ^^

Both situations are allowed. This contest is kinda meant to see how fast a whole group could theorically complete ??? (That's why you're not allowed to change classes)
If you've done it or not doesn't matter ^^

If you already did the quest or you're doing it while speedrunning doesn't matter. Both are allowed. But consnidering that the time starts when you get teleported to the Computer room, if you talk to it you'd lose precious time ^^
