Warrior/Knight 80% Agility & Defense Guardian Build

I don't have a high level Warrior so I can not test it out or even have experience with end game warrior, but this build should have great tankyness, speed, and with positive Air and Fire Defense. Although acquiring the pieces of this build will take time to get it still would have profound tanking abilities.

A vow of protection hangs over this spear, now inhabited by the spirit of a legendary heroine. Even simply a glimpse of the burning blade will instill a feeling of protection and security, and that feeling will hold true if one is brave enough to wield it.

Of course you can swap some items out as you need, but because you take less damage from mobs your health counts for more as does your Health Regen and Life Steal. I know that Defense currently does not effect Elemental Damage and that with warrior you can negate all neutral damage with high enough Defense and War Scream. However with the coming of some major bug fixing update, I see this build becoming better in the future.

I have a lv 25 warrior and have never had a mythic before, nor do I have the money for one. I can't do any type of testing, but I can maybe calculate an average DPS if that helps?

 

Rip dmg (you can surive all bosses but not kill them all solo (I think, your build has same attack stats as my previous guardian build) or it'll take a VERY long time

Yeah, but element damage and the damage that you deal...

 

True it is not the best for Element Defense it is still has alot of agility that does work on all damage, and when defense starts blocking elemental damage it will be even more tanky. Also damage reduction from agility makes the life steal and raw regen more effective, Due to you taking damage less often.

at the moment yes, but the bug fixing update could change that
It is a tank build that also it has pretty good ws, max agility, good life steal, great raw regen, bit of cactus, and a bit of expoding.
It is not entirely focused on tanking in the standard ways of element defense, but in the ways of longevity and damage control.

 

by that logic, all you have to be to be a tank is stack defense. No, you need element defense too to be a tank AT ALL. Sorry.

 

well atleast it is not negative in any defenses, but I do not believe in you logic of you need elemental defense to be a tank, an effective element tank yes, but not as a requirement.
What I believe what a tank needs is to have longevity in battle which it does provide.

 

Do you know how regen works right now? With no elemental defense, it's too slow to have the survivability you want unless you're using Amulet of Rejuvenation.

Sure, you're a "tank" by the definition of the word, but in practice this doesn't actually tank very well.

 

the reason it would be a tank is if defense stared to work on all damage, then it would be extremely tanky.
of course it is not super tanky without it, but in the mean time it is best used as a skirmishing tank, it is not currently suited for hard blow for blow combat.

 

I have a 1000ish HP Regen warrior and I find myself saved more often by my HP and 110 defense than regen, which pales in comparison to the survivability provided by element defense found in most tanks.

Alas sometimes I wish regen timers weren't reset by getting hit. And then I remember
