3 Niche Questions About Hardcore And Guardian

1. Can Guardian help negate some fall damage from other players?
2. Do you lose your hardcore status if you alt+f4 out of a raid? More specifically right as you enter ONoL after the cutscene (the 3 doors room).
3. Do you lose your hardcore status in housing if you die?

I ask these questions because there is a rare bug that may occur in ONoL where sometimes you get tpped into the air at the 3 doors room right after the cutscene of entering the raid and just fall down like 100 blocks. I have reported this as a bug already for hotfix 6.

Update:

• Guardian does not negate fall damage.
• Resistance from war scream does not negate fall damage.
• Falling down 62 blocks will kill you no matter what*
• *There is a random chance not defined by agi where you take ~20% fall damage, ~10% fall damage, ~2% fall damage, or even no fall damage. Not sure if these numbers are well defined.
• You do not lose your hardcore status if you die in housing.

 

for the fall damage one, would using movement spell help negate the fall dmg? probably more reliable than a guardian

It is possible to negate fall damage through a very well timed escape right before hitting the floor but good god it is very hard to pull off.

Can't you just use boots with featherfalling?

i feel like its up to RNJesus whether you die or not, is there actually skill involved? also not sure about alt+f4 out of a raid, i assume not since its not a death just a crash, but dont trust me on that

 

People have said you lose your hardcore status if you alt f4 out, but no one legit tried it ever.

This bug seems to be mostly RNJesus but theres a tiny chance to save yourself if you somehow escape the ground right before landing, which is extremely difficult to pull off.
