2 Identification Questions

So I started doing a new thing for the wiki. I am trying to collect as many identification prices for weapons. My goal with others is to find every ID price of EVERY item.

Now let's talk about nerdy stuff: maths, and more precisely: Algebra.

My first question is: What is the mathematical fonction used to price re-identification? For example, an item is ID for 10 emeralds, next time, it's 100, then it's 1 000. There is a logic and surely there is one to the ID system.

Second question: Is there a maxium amount of times an item can be IDed? I remember that before the Gavel update it was like 5 or 6 times, but now?

 

I think it multiplies the previous price by 5.

Technically, there's no limit to how much you can re-identify an item, if you have the cash you can do it infinite times, but once its price gets high enough you literally cannot hold enough money in your inventory to pay for it. That limit is 7602176 emeralds, and to do this you have to pick up a stack of Liquefied Emeralds while the item you intend to ID is in the identifier's slot, but before identifying it, and have the entire rest of your inventory filled with stacks of Liquefied Emeralds.

 

To your first question, I haven't done any testing myself, so I can't say. There is no maximum amount of times an item can be ID'ed, but you'll run out of emeralds quickly.

 

If Im correct re-id is x^2 or x(2) (pretty sure its the later). I think so, but I'm not sure.

And who even could have 7 million emeralds? A million I could understand, but 7 ??

 

That number is 262144(64 Liquid Emeralds)*29, which is the maximum amount of open inventory slots a player has in Wynn.
