The main focus of this thread isn’t to talk about what has been improved or any new features. Trust me, there have been many improvements and I love a lot of the new features. I’m going to be doing a quick overview of what I think needs improving. If any of the content team/admins/moderators etc want to hear more about these from a players perspective, feel free to message me.

I’ve seen many other posts like this but I don’t want to spend the whole time picking out tiny flaws and making them seem like the end of the world. There are, however, a few issues which I think REALLY need seeing to.

    1. Housing

I wasn’t overly excited about the idea of building a house, and needing to use mats seemed quite annoying, but blocks are pretty cheap so that didn’t really cause much concern.

I was mainly excited for some of the useful features such as having crafting stations all together near a bank etc.

I was mostly excited for the usability of build stands, but I soon found out they were champion only. Still, don’t mind too much. It just adds some nice features for the new rank and I’m not losing anything by them getting it. I mean, the rank has to have some benefits.

I’ve also seen many people asking about other people building on their islands. I think this would be a great feature, but I can understand if it would be hard to implement. Just something that would be nice!

    2. Announcement of the update

This was honestly quite disappointing. I honestly don’t see why the Wynncraft team seems unable to communicate with the players when they have the discord and forums to use. When the trade market went down a few weeks ago, I was shocked at how long it took for an announcement to come out (as there was speculation of a roll back, so players stopped playing until they knew what was happening).

I ended up sitting in the lobby for hours waiting to see when the update would release. I completely understand not having a set time for updates. That’s fine! Just say it! It would have been sooooo much nicer were there to have been an announcement saying “ update today, we’re unsure when it will come out today though” or “update will probably be out within the next couple of hours” or literally anything.

It’s fine if you don’t know when it will be released. Just tell the community! I feel like there needs to be more communication between staff and players. There should be polls for new feature. Simple things lie “which texture do you prefer for this item?” And so on. I think this would really add something to wynncraft and make it something else.

    3. Lobby

I cannot stress this enough, the new way of sorting the worlds is awful. Having the most ful worlds at the end means that if you want to join those worlds (which are often the worlds with bombs), you have to click through multiple pages of worlds. Really of annoying, but not as bad as the next point.

    4. Champion slots/Sniping worlds

Now I could be completely wrong about all of what I’m about to say, however... From what I’ve seen, champions take up normal world slots until it gets full, when they move to the champion slots, right? I assume they don’t always go to champion slots as then there would be a max of 5 champions on each world, making the rank mean you are limited more to worlds.

Because of this, if there is one champion on a full world, it is literally impossible to snipe the world (attempt to join a full world, in hope that someone leaves when you try and join) without waiting for one of these:

    - So many people leave the world that the champions start taking up normal world slots, which would NEVER happen were there to be something like profession xp/speed bombs (especially on a double xp weekend)

    - All champions leave the server, meaning it is the same as 1.19 sniping, which is also very unlikely as champions would be more likely to be joining servers with bombs, due to the addition of the bombs bell. There brings me on to the next option.

    - You join the world before champions get on it once it has been announced on the bombs tracker? Nope, bomb bell has that covered and, of course, other people (including champions) can do the same.

    - You are already on the world. This is the ONLY option which could actually work. You just hope and pray that you are on a world where someone drops the bombs.

    Outro

As I said earlier, I may just be completely misunderstanding the system, and if I do then let me know and I can remove this section. If I am right about this, I don’t care if it’s supposed to be a perk for champions. It isn’t okay and needs changing, otherwise I will never see another prof bomb in my life.

I will be adding to this thread as I see more of the update and will bump the post whenever I do. Thanks for reading.

    - New trade market search - I love being able to look and individuals selling ingredients. Great change.

    - Raids - Seem really cool on general

    - Secret discoveries - I’ve really enjoyed doing each of them. One of my favourite aspects of the update.

    - Town/city remakes - All of them are on par, if not better then they were before. Good job!

I think for Champions, either the bomb bell or reserved slots should be gone. One of them is fine, but both of them together just make it impossible for people to get into lobbies with bomb

Personally, I think that champion slots should be increased (possibly even no limit, idk how many champions there are, so idk), and champions should always use up champion slots. This would guarantee champions slots on worlds and people would still be able to join.

Like I said, the housing things I mentioned are just things that I’d like, but tbh I don’t care about that much. I’m glad you agree about the communication part though. I think that this is one of the main things that Wynncraft could improve on.

    Ok, I read the post.

Idk about housing, but I agree on the points.
One of the problems is that we don't know how the reserved slots really work. Which is, again, problem of communication

There is a random delay between a bomb being thrown the chat message

I agree completely, one of the two doesn't belong, though I think I would rather see the bomb bell go purely because I like the idea of having a dungeon run with 55 people. That said, I would want to see a new feature or bonus to replace the bomb bell, maybe a better crate, maybe a 1 time purchase bonus like a new pet or cosmetic or something, I don't think it would be right for them to take away a feature without replacing it at this point since people bought it with the expectation that they were going to have that feature which makes things a little tough.

Speaking for myself, I don't really care if they remove the bell and don't give me anything in return since I never wanted it in the first place, but I have a feeling there are others who would strongly disagree with that.

Tbh, the bell isn’t the problem. I think the real issue is the fact that, from my understanding, people without champion are really going to struggle to join worlds with bombs. It would be fine if champion had bomb bell as long as they didn’t pretty much close off the world when they joined?

Again, I have no problem with the bomb bell. That’s fine! But, as I said in my post, as far as I can see, no non-champion players will physically be able to join the world (whether they know about it or not) if there are champions.

Let's say a prof set is dropped in a world. It becomes full with 50 people joining, both non-champs and champs. The world is full 50/50. Then, 5 champions join the world due to slots. The world is full 55/55, no one can join anymore. After a few minutes, one player leaves. It doesnt matter what rank they are, the world will be 54/55, and one of the 5 champions who joined last will move to the original 50-player queue. This continues until the world goes down to 49/55, in which the prof set is probably over by then. Champs can most likely still join when the world is in 50-54 players, but I was spamming into a world yesterday and no champs joined during the 50-54 player period, so I assume that all champs that wanted to join that world already joined earlier via bomb bell. Which is what makes this problem so bad, that instead of waiting for one person to leave in 1.19, now you need to wait for six.

This is exactly the point I’m trying to make. They haven’t added a bonus for champions, they’ve also made it harder for everyone sleds.
