Here's the deal. Once a week (<- but procrastination tho) , I will find a grinding spot to analyze and review. The grinding spot will be rated on these five factors:

Passivity - How hard do the mobs hit? ?/5

Spawnrate - How many mobs spawn there? Do they respawn quickly? ?/5

Convenience - How close is it from a town? Bank? An item buyer? ?/5

Uniqueness - What makes this area different? Increased xp gain? Loot chests? Rare items? ?/5

The Location:

774 34 -1322 are the coordinates of this grinding spot.


In this grinding spot analysis, we'll be looking mostly at the mineshaft network inside of the 5 openings you see there at the mining site.

The majority of spawns will come from here, at these coordinates.

Passivity: 4/5

These mobs will hit like a truck... or cart, rather. Anywhere from 0.5 - 2.5 hearts of damage will be inflicted with 94% armor. Along with that, the space is quite a bit cramped, so there's not a lot of room to run. However, there are no ranged mobs, and there is a... slightly unreliable camping zone to fight them off.


The crate with the ladder on top. The reason it is unreliable is because these minecarts have learned not only to ride rails, but to ride up ladders as well. Just knock them off and you'll be fine... mostly. Beware of the TNT Minecart, though.



This menace, although 1 level lower than its counterpart, the Moving Minecart, will perform a self-destruct,dealing around 2.5 - 3 damage. Moving towards it in vanished mode does not seem to stop it. Even if you're vanished, it will still be able to blow itself up, so assassins beware!

Spawnrate: 3/5

The minecarts in this shaft seem to spawn most frequently in this place:

the little section of mine with diamond ore. It makes sense, too, that the animate minecarts would appear more frequently in this location, as they would seek to guard the treasure of their home mine. Everywhere else, though? One or two, but that's it. I would suggest to grind only in this part of the shaft at 742 31 -1187.

A quick walk will take you right back to Detlas, or Almuj if you prefer. Both have item buyers and banks, and as Detlas is the hub city of Wynn, if you find a legendary in the cave that you'd like to make a profit from, feel free to shout out your wares! Make sure to keep your prices reasonable, though!

The aesthetics are beautiful in the mineshaft, and in the mining base in general. If you explore around the mineshaft, you can find an underground river, camps, and a mining drill (they had that during the medieval times?). The moving minecart is level 29, and the TNT minecart is level 28, making it a good place to grind around levels 25 to 34. There is a Tier 4 loot chest, if you know where to look...
