I like this version's left shoulder armor better but too lazy to change.

Heyo just some constructive criticism. Since armor is a metal, it should have heavy reflective lighting in certain areas.

This should pretty much explain it: https://imgur.com/a/uCTwf
I didn't do the best job though... but hopefully you can see what I mean.

Also that bonus looks amazing :)

Or we could just say he's a lazy knight that hasn't polished his armour so its gone dull now :p

also, considering how bleak and barren Cice's environments are, I could even go as far as saying that the metal is covered by a thin layer of frozen water dulling the shine. Though, if the armour were to be foggy because of the condensation of low temperatures, then what would be missing would be some little droplets of the water dripping down cause of gravity

UNLESS this knight just got out of a crimogenic chamber and has been asleep for more than a thousand years. :p

Talking about frozen, when you put clothes in very cold temperatures, clothes become stiff and get very wrinkly like the sleeves Cice did. Here's a funny video of people freezing clothes to make sculptures

Plenty of paths to choose from, just some examples. #creativity

Yep my feedback towards Cice at this point is more of my own personal perspective, since we have such different styles. I'm merely pointing out some lighting inaccuracies for him to consider under the pretense of a normal environment. But if not that's completely fine, it's his piece and own judgement after all. I don't believe Cice intended to have something masking the armor, such as the rain or snow you mentioned. If you look at his previous work he likely would've added some visible rain streaks or snow falling to allude to such a detail.

Additionally if the knight was wearing dull armor as you proposed, certain areas would still have a much higher brightness compared to others. The only case where a metal becomes absolutely dull involves rust, which clearly isn't evident.

Ultimately this all comes down to interpretation of artwork. Im just giving some of my thoughts on it as you did, and perhaps my ideas can provide some insight. Cicetil most definitely has his own perspective and I'm not attempting to limit it in any way.

That sounds about right. My comment was exactly directed towards that: what you suggested wasn't necessarily the best for the piece nor what the artist wanted(which you just clarified it was just your preference). And most importantly, not the only way possible. Because of this, I think the only way we can help Cice is by instead of directing him to a certain path, to open more options for him, since we can't tell him something is right or something is wrong if we don't know what were his intentions or focuses.

So, as a suggestion, @cicetil , since these are experiments, and as experiments you are searching for and discovering new knowledges and skills, I think it would be a good idea to share what did you learn from this piece, from both doing it and seeing it finished afterwards. By doing this, this allows you to receive feedback which is more accurate and ample. Doing this will also help you personally since its a mesure of self-reflection.
