Do you remember which parts and how quickly they skip automatically? I was fairly sure I removed that or made the auto-skip like 20 seconds.
As I said, easter egg. There's no discovery or xp or anything gameplay-affecting locked behind the ending.
I like to think of the second ending as an easter egg, not the 'right' one, since only one cutscene actually changes.
