    well, on some website, this person added a filter that changes egg to duck, and someone typed eggroll, and it came out as duckroll. People made an image of a duckroll, and used it to prank people. In 2007, a grand theft auto 4 trailer was replaced with a video of Never Gonna Give You up, and it it was named rick rolling (after duckrolling), and i guess it stuck
