Old Hunger And World Generation In 1.9 Snapshots

Hello! I have created a small command block contraption combined with a very small resource pack and custom world generation options. They do the following:

1. Brings back the pre-beta 1.8 hunger system, where you do not have that hunger bar. Rather, eating directly increases your health.

2. Brings back the old world generation. Yes, that one. It's strangely so accurate, that if you were to recreate the world but with the seed "glacier", it would create terrain very similar to what use to happen. Credit to Jeffrey6978 for finding this in this post.

Some things to note:

The world is not in the glacier seed, it's a randomly selected seed. Trust me, though, I've looked around, and it's beautiful, especially on the side of the mountain.

The world has a custom resource pack. All it changes is the HUD, so that the hunger will not display. However, because of this, all of the HUD looks like default Minecraft textures. If you don't want that, you can delete the resources.zip file in the world file, edit your resource pack, and remove the hunger.

The world will have a green name, so you can easily notice it when scrolling through all of your worlds. You can rename it to whatever you want, it won't break anything.

I might have missed a couple food items while creating the contraption. If you notice something's missing, or something seems to be broken (i.e. bread giving you infinite regeneration), please tell me.

Most raw foods will give you weakness II for 20 seconds to balance things.

The amount the food heals you is based off of how much hunger it originally restored. Some foods were slightly changed, however. Also, sometimes when eating it randomly heals half a heart less or more than what it's suppose to. This seems to be caused by an unavoidable bug.

Unfortunately, food still stacks and it still takes time to eat them. I could not find a way to circumvent these. Also, you can sprint without worry of running out of hunger.

...Please tell me it can generate the old 404 world.

 

Hit the recreate button and enter the seed. It should generate it!

but it won't have old hunger

 

This is a great idea, personally i prefer the old hunger system.
