Gavelcraft, it's like a whole new game.
I'm soo hyped for it.

 

Chivalry is entirely skill-based. There are no 'better weapons' to speak of.
Also, I have experience playing the game. I know.

 

Wynncraft.

 

Excluding Wynncraft, I would have to say Runescape. It was the first game I have ever played and it was the very game which pretty much made majority of me today. I probably wouldn't have been a gamer without it!

Hate to say it, but I HATE MMORPGs (Wynncraft being the sole exception).

Most of the time they're usually very P2W, and now I don't have the time for that P2W bullshit and grinding (before I did, but had zero patience). I really despise pressing the same buttons 3-4 times in a row. Sure, some areas may be tough and fun at first, but they literally become grinding spots once you progress in the game (*cough* SK Jelly King *cough*). When you beat the game, there's the uber hard postgame stuff, then you grind your ass off for god tier gear and wait for more updates (which are usually completed in like 1 week max unless it's a gigantic update like adding ~20 levels or something).

Which is why I moved onto fighting games and only play a bit of MMORPGs for a little bit. Not an excessive amount like I used to (or the amounts I played Pokemon as a kid).


So why's Wynncraft the sole exception?

The community, the staff members. Yes, those are my only reasons.

They're my only reasons because how much I've gotten used to everyone, and how much I've gotten used to the internet as a whole. Again, as I said earlier, some areas are tough and fun at first, so that's why I usually take advantage of that initial fun part and play with friends, or go on giant raids on a place. Grinding is at least somewhat bearable when I have people to talk to, else it's just a personal waste of anxiety/sanity.

 

Yes I can relate to the *cough* *cough* SK Jelly King runs *cough* and especially hated the *cough cough* forging *cough* update *cough*.
It seems that I have the *cough* *co-SK is a really P2W game-ugh* flu..

 

I got started with Runescape, and stopped playing for a while (during the time when there were riots, but not because of the riots) and tried to re-join a few times but found the new game really confusing. So many pop-up windows and complicated new quest systems...

Anyways, I then found Wynncraft and have been playing on and off for a while, in fact a year and a bit now.

The thing I really love about RPGs is the sense of exploration. You can travel to new towns and discover new places... even go into NPC's houses. And even doing a chore like "Fetch me some milk from Katoa Ranch" feels fun and exciting. I guess it is the sense of independence....

 

Uhm, what's SK Jelly King? Also, @Gartato, you forgot about the Gavel Expansion being another reason why Wynncraft is your sole exception. Lessens grinding.
