but first,
to those of you who do not know what defines an RPG,
i'll ramble a bit right now.

If you're here just because you just want to read something worthwhile,
then do yourself a favor.
Go to a library and check out a book for a few bucks.
It's worth it, way more than this.

RPG is a shortcut phrase for Role-Play Game,
where you play as a character in a set storyline (most likely as the hero/heroes).
You go around playing as that character to complete certain objectives or to just chill out and stuff;
The idea of an RPG is to pretend you're the person you're playing as.

There are more kinds of RPGs than types of shits that even I can't count,
as in, more than five because I can count five fingers on one hand.
I wrote a short Google Docs text document about all the different genres here.

A good of example of an RPG is Wynncraft itself;
You play as a hero amongst hundreds of comrades to banish Wynn's corruption,
and maybe even slay the lost legendary hero Bob,
kill the Corruptor of Worlds,
and even vanquish Death.
Because you play with hundreds of other people,
this makes Wynncraft an MMORPG (Mass. Multiplayer)

Note that there may also be hybrids of genres,
but let's admit it;
The name of the game doesn't matter too much to the game itself.
Now go out there and stop thinking about titles x3

Fire Emblem: Awakening, if that even is an RPG. (Probably is)

 

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is without a doubt my favorite RPG
and my fav MMORPG is WynnCreft :3

Planescape: Torment. Probably the best RPG ever made.
