Poketheory: Google Maps April Fools Teased Pokemon Go?

so a lot of you have been wondering about the new pokemon go mobile game.



yea yea its cool and all but look at the visuals from the trailers for a second.
after watching it for the 2nd time I remembered that the google maps april fools joke seemed a lot like pokemon go... I then again watched the april fools challenge and it looked EXTREAMLY similar!


to start... pokemon go is being developed by Nintendo and a small company of google employees. its not difficult to assume that google would tease the game a little and its concept via the april fools trailer. also noticed this logo in the google trailer?
take note to the center pokeball/google maps looking pin because that is actually a accessory that can be bought for the pokemon go app. its kind of like a watch that gives you notifications


on another note, the pokemon go project has been in the works since two years ago. the google maps teaser was perfect since it got the idea of a game that has pokemon in the real world floating around in our heads.

this can only mean one thing.
