Forums Are Dying

Because of the forums reset, a lot of players left the forums. Even when you can actually make new threads, players now left, so we don't get much comments anymore. I personally think this was a huge mistake.

Give it some time, the admins said they will try to interact more with the community so that along with gavel should bring the forums back to normal, and possibly beyond.

 

I'd like to point out, this was not completely intentional.

Let's just be glad that the most active/frequent visitors of the forums decided to stay, and not vanish just because some issue happened.
And be glad that people are actually coping extremely well with the sudden situation, helping to repopulate sections with threads, and not freaking out and causing riots. Frankly, I was surprised-I thought people would start freaking out, and spam will erupt. Turns out forumers are unexpectedly cool as cucumber.

I'd imagine people will return to the forums after Gavel.
I know a lot of people (easter egg hunters for example) were very unhappy when all their discoveries went, but when Gavel opens I am sure new easter eggs will need to be found.
In a way, it is the same for creations. Gavel will, hopefully, inspire writers, theorists, artists and builders to make new things.

Although it is hard for me to judge (because I personally feel pretty attached to this server) I would say it isn't a great idea to leave. This is still a haven full of people who are much much MUCH nicer and more awesome than the average MC community and there is no reason why it won't be like that after one reset, however "devastating" it was.
Even if you don't always play Wynncraft, or just joined this community because it looked happy, you must have met a friendly face at some point. Try not to abandon that just because your thread disappeared, stuff like that can always be rebuilt. As Grian put it simply; "A fresh start"

Yeah I have noticed some members have gone missing. But remember that this was completely unintentional. I am seeing a lot of new members, though.

I think the members that left needed to take in the shock of seeing everything disappear.

Nah, the forums are just low on soulpoints atm after so many threads died at once, we'll eventually bring everyone back :)
