Naturally, this forum and community has come a long way. Through all of that, there's been many arguments, insults on stuff, crazy stuff, etc. But this is our chance to change that. The staff's question is, how are we gonna change it? Are we gonna change it for the better, or the worse? For the good, or for the bad?

For possibly one of the only times ever, we have the power. As the thread implies, it's a fresh start. We're starting over. We have the power to change and shape this community however we want.

We just experienced death. But with death, there's rebirth. With rebirth, it creates something new; something fresh. At first, we all go into a massive panic, but then we find a way to make use of the rebirth.

It's like building a city in Minecraft or other sandbox games, the builders shape it. The builders are the community. They give the impression to visitors what we're like. Now we're the builders. All of us.

As I said earlier, we can shape this. Already, we've managed to get Shoutbox appeals to become a reality. Some of our old friends have returned to the Shoutbox. All the staff are relying on us, they know that we can do it. That we can make this better than last time. That we can make this version of the forums the greatest and most memorable it's ever been.

But again, the staff's question, and my question, is this: How are you gonna take advantage of this fresh start, how are you gonna help change the forums?

We all know it was Salted who thought adding that button was a good idea though.

 

Although some may disagree with this idea strongly, would it not be good to completely wipe people's messages and likes as well? You keep mentioning that it'll be great to give the entire forum a 'new start', however it's only a half one, if you really want to just bring about a new, better forum perhaps restarting it all would be better. This also encourages people to repopulate the forum with threads, so that they can increase their message and like counts to the staggering heights they'd reached before.

 

Let's make a new forums, with blackjack, and hookers!

 

@Grian I think yesterday the same happened to the CM forums too. Can anyone fix that?
