uhhh i have no idea how to start this thread
    okay
so im gonna preface with 1. this is a really bad idea, and 2. it probably won't work

So lately I've been obsessed with this social deduction game called Blood on the Clocktower, but because of a LOT of reasons haven't played it either IRL or online at all, and I was thinking about this fact, and my brain went: wham! Forum games!
A brief explanation is in order, first:
Blood on the Clocktower (BotC) is a social deduction game like Werewolf/Mafia. It has a few differences to typical social deduction games, though
-Every player, no matter what, has a special role that impacts the game
-Players can have private chats during the day
-Dead players still fully participate in the game*

My idea is to Storytell games of BotC on the forums using Conversations. This thread wouldn't be the place (as everyone could see its contents (I suppose this could work if you addressed certain things to certain people in spoilers, but I suspect curiosity would get the better of a few people)), instead becoming where I announce that I'll be holding a game and give people a chance to sign up. (People actually do play the game this way, it's called the longform text format, so it shouldn't be horrendous.)

Part of the reason I had this idea is because (and there are certain people who I know might still be curious from the old days), well, there's this running gag (or sitting, given it's been a long time since anyone engaged with it) of trying to guess my profile picture. This whole damn time it's been a clocktower, and I'm taking that as fate.

(A regular game requires at least seven other players)
(My estimation is that the game would take anywhere from 3-5 irl days. During those days, you'd have to exchange information during certain hours, have town discussions and votes at certain hours, and respond to my messages PROMPTLY during the night phase)

If you're interested, please fill out the google form at: Wynn BotC Event Sign-Up to sign up for the first game
(I don't have any particular event dates set in stone yet, because I want this to actually take off as a project, and I'm aware that not everyone shares my schedule. My ideal runtime would be from 10/31 to 11/2 or 11/3 or 11/4 or however long the game takes)
(just reply to this thread if you screw something up on the form)

I'm probably missing a heckton of the context necessary here, so feel free to ask me questions about my latest insane commitment that I likely won't be able to commit to.

also if you fill out the form pls tell me because I will forget to check. (or at least select yes in the poll. or like the thread (you can do that without signing up))

Until my next (hopefully less haphazard) wall of text.
