Why is gear swapping behind a $200 paywall? I would put this in general suggestions as 'Don't put gear swapping behind a $200 paywall' but I've been spamming that forum so I prolly shouldn't. It's actually baffling.

I don't think the devs that made this decision realize they're making less money milking their most dedicated players for all their worth than idk making the game appealing to a larger playerbase? Devs really need to focus on how to keep new players and turn them into dedicated players by making a seamless game, rather than using the seams to create ranks to squeeze the pockets of their dwindling population of dedicated players.

And the worst part is it's not even convenient. $200 and I would still have to go to and from my housing plot. What a joke.

 

With the exception of build stands, almost nothing is locked behind a paywall (technically champion can be bought with shares but that's a lot of grinding). That being said though, it is a feature that I would really like to see be useable regardless of rank. I would highly recommend Wynntils build loadouts which work really well as they handle skill points, the skill tree, tomes, and aspects. However, you do still need to swap the gear itself at a bank.
