Archer/Hunter Chi_kone's Post-Fruma Archer Build Tierlist

After almost 1000 hours on archer and 1500+ raids completed, I felt like ranking every single build I have a non-trivial amount of experience with. Rankings are based on how fun it is to play, how easy it is to play, and damage/quality of life ratio. Take it worth a grain of salt.

A Tier

Spoiler: Stratiformis Hybrid Bolt

The current hybrid melee build with best mix of quality of life (walk speed, hp) and damage. I prefer the version below (which trades damage for much more ehp).

Spoiler: Labyrinth Trapper

A build with incredible tankiness and regeneration for its damage. Requires enemies that don’t move too much. It’s a huge damage farmer in notg, and also great for world events. I prefer the firemoss set variation made by Blue.

You probably should use the alt charge mythic aspect and not the trapper mythic aspect with this build.

Very classic rainbowslop build. My old main build which carried me through over 500 raids. Only thing it lacks is a little bit of walk speed and mana sustain (but that is quite roll dependent).

A sidegrade of freedom spell sharp with more damage potential and walk speed in exchange for tankiness. I like the version by Duat, which I play with my preferred sharp tree.

After Fruma, basically all spell bolt builds became reliant on some major ID, whether that be from -XPM, trift, or volatility. This was the first of that sort of spell bolt build I tried, and is definitely not terrible.

Divzer was my first mythic. Saved up 30le for a shit divzer and even shittier gear. With terrible rolls, no ehp, no tomes/aspects, and no skill or game knowledge, my notg runs went from doing no damage with morph to dying in every room with divzer. Holy shit do NOT recommend glass dps builds to newer players. IMO everyone should start with a fire build to learn movement + spell cycles and reading boss attack patterns.

Unfortunately, this build must be moved down a tier due to the recent nhawk nerfs. I would use this version from Beansome:

This is effectively a labyrinth sidegrade which trades qol for even more damage. Becomes a coughing baby if you ever leave mana trap range and run out of mana, so would recommend bringing mana pots. Damage also scales with hotbox size.

In my opinion, this is just a worse freedom spell sharp. It has the similar ehp and walk speed but less damage. Only advantage is it being played with rage and some wildflower offhand hpr shenanigans, which is not that worthwhile imo.
