Apparently Sui was originally meant to have light blue hair

Veeeeery small post I'm making, but I was rewatiching the 2023 Espren Sneak Peek and realized two of the major characters were shoved right in front of our faces without us realizing. Between 0:25 and 0:30 we can clearly see Syndra, and at 0:58 there's a slightly less noticeable Sui. And I've noticed she weirdly had light blue hair. Probably nobody cares, but I did ask myself why her design was changed from a hair color that really fits with her ice magic abilities, to her final light pink (probably tho something like color harmony with her clothes)

I wonder if the design was changed to stand out more. In the trailer I just assumed she was some random town mob who looked a bit like Dante from Devil May Cry.

On a somewhat related note, I really hope Wynncraft releases some behind the scenes info on Fruma's development, much like what they did with Gavel last december.

Honestly I can understand someone interpreting her hair as light blue, white, or pink. Personally I think it's light purple.

Also, I always thought of her current hair color as an ashy lavender, like Copic's V22

 

Just know I thought her hair was white

 

I'm getting so used to seeing pink hair to the point that I almost expect it to be a natural color

Also yeah ashy lavander makes sense

 

Her name was also originally Yuri but that was changed for rather obvious reasons

 

Yeah I can imagine, also imo Yuri as a girl's name sounds so bad

In contrast to Rex as a girl's name which fits very nicely

 

Why was it ever Yuri in the first place?
