opinion on the new mount system

I just recently returned to the game and noticed the new updated horse mechanics.

Does anyone appreciate the new system more and its added features, or maybe does anyone miss the old system of mounting when it was different?

I really like some aspects! Like the wyverns being added for a flying mount option, it makes Gavel much easier to navigate (I'll always be a cotl hater no matter how many times they rework it). Also how each mount has different skills to level instead of just a general progression you get from riding around, makes it feel more involved.
What I don't like though is how you need to feed your mounts. While Ternaves isn't awful for horses, having to make the trek to Bantisu is *awful* and insanely annoying.

 

Btw, I... I think they added scrolls for Ternaves and Bantisu.

 

That's so life changing omg my wyvern will starve a lot less now
