Archer/Hunter is it just me or does archer just suck?

I play archer (sharpshooter) and I can get by just fine, but in raids I deal almost no damage while everyone else is doing 400k DPS. I despise spell spam because it removes literally all fun from combat, and sharpshooter is one of the few archetypes that relies on melee hits. I really don't want to play other classes, because then I have to do everything over again which just feels wrong. I want to play an RPG, not "who can press buttons faster" simulator.

Are there any sharpshooter builds that don't rely on spell spam?

 

I mean, one reason for lack of damage in comparison to others is if you're not max level (wait you are maxed aren't you?)/if your not using some high end crazy expensive mythic build

 

I am max level though none of the items I use go past level 105, not a big issue. I might look into some of the mythic bows, actually.

 

For refrence, I am using a level 115 centered build with like 3 legendaries, the rest rare/one common. It could beat the Queen with a few tries. I am level 120 etc.
Just today, I hit PB for damage in WTP, that being 9%
