The Shadow of The Beast Quest Colored Wool Puzzle Broken

So I made it through the quest to the part where you have to kill the guardians for the solution to the door puzzle, I wasn't using a guide up until this point, so when I first came into the room I pressed the wrong buttons for the puzzle. After a little while of messing around I opened the guide and found out that you need to press 1 pink, 2 light blue, 3 green, and 4 yellow in that order. So i did so, and it won't work. I put the solution in probably 20 times before trying to fix the quest using /fixquests and dying, waiting a couple real life days and trying again, this time only pressing the correct solution when I got back to the cave. IT'S COMPLETELY BROKEN. It will not register the correct solution, I've tried everything. Killing myself, leaving and reentering does not work! There's no reset button, which I don't get. That would have been a simple fix for this, not everyone is going to get the puzzle correct the first try. And apparently not doing so breaks the quest. Is there any solution to this, or is the quest just completely broken for me now?

 

The numbers correspond to the order, not how many times you have to press the buttons

I just went back to the cave to verify this just press the buttons once each in order

Assuming the guide you were referring to was the wiki (It matches the numbers showing up before the colors) it says it right at the bottom
