I made a post here about the possibility of a weaponless class three years ago. So I guess it took me three years to make this class? lol

    Anyway, here's my fan-made class, the Brawler: a melee-oriented, close-ranged, stance-based weaponless class.

    I. Brawler: The Class
    A. General Details
Mastering yourself is true power. The brawler uses different fighting stances to defeat their enemies in close-quarters combat. They can use offensive, defensive, or evasive attacks to adapt in any situation. Brawlers are good at both dealing and taking damage, and can conquer powerful foes on their own.

    Weapon: None
    Main Attack: Punch
Base Damage: Highest (tied with Archer and Shaman)
Base Resistance: 120% (takes 20% less damage)

This class was inspired by the Level-89 class Enter the Dojo, which introduced the Sakura Dojo. The dojo contains a book about a weaponless fighting style that uses animal stances, which inspired me to create a stance-based weaponless class. The design and theme of the class is based on the five animal styles of Shaolin Kung Fu.

While the Brawler has both incredible damage and resistance, they are highly disadvantaged by their small range. In order to fully utilize their potential, you must get close to enemies and evade their attacks while executing a powerful combo.

    B. Weapon

Unlike the other classes, the Brawler does not use any weapon. The class interacts differently with the weapon system:
    • Their main attacks uses regular punches. Its damage benefits from main attack damage IDs from armor and accessories.
    • Instead of getting their DPS from weapons, they instead get it from a) leveling up, which grants Neutral Damage DPS per level, and b) assigning skill points, which grants Elemental Damage DPS per point (the element is based on the skill point).
    • The ability tree menu would have a special tab for applying Powders (up to 3). The applied powders would modify their DPS as it would to weapons. It would also allow them to use Powder Specials.
    • Their attack speed is set to Very Slow, called their "Fixed Attack Speed". The attack speed ID would not increase their Fixed Attack Speed. Instead, it would modify how much their main attacks scale off of their DPS.
      • Fixed Attack Speed can be modified by abilities from the ability tree.
      • Effects that change based on attack speed (e.g. life/mana steal, charging powder specials) is based on Fixed Attack Speed.
    C. Base Spells and Abilities

    II. Brawler Archetypes
    A. The Ancient
Ancients slowly build up damage and defenses before unleashing it in an eruptive burst. (Setup, Tank)

    Difficulty: Medium
    Damage: Medium
    Defense: High
    Range: High
    Speed: Low

    Elemental Mastery: Earth, Fire

Ancients are based on the Doguns: slow, powerful, ancient beings borne of The Colossus. Their volcanic playstyle involves slowly building up damage while resisting attacks and grouping enemies together, before unleashing it all in a single explosive finale. While their mobility is limited, they compensate for it with their incredible area damage and control, as well as high resistance.

    B. The Scrapper
Scrappers overwhelm enemies with a constant barrage of attacks. (Berserker, Attack Speed)

    Difficulty: Easy
    Damage: High
    Defense: Medium
    Range: Low
    Speed: Medium

    Elemental Mastery: Thunder

Scrappers hail from the country of Corkus, and they use electromagic to electrify themselves into a powerful brute-force punching machine, even at the cost of their own safety. Their simple playstyle is all about overwhelming enemies with rapid, consecutive punches until they achieve victory.

    C. The Disciple
Disciples gracefully shift between offensive, defensive, and evasive attacks. (Combos, Versatility)

    Difficulty: Hard
    Damage: Medium
    Defense: Medium
    Range: Medium
    Speed: High

    Elemental Mastery: Air, Water

Disciples have honed and cultivated their spirit, and have unlocked the secret fifth stance: the Dragon Stance. This allows them to freely move from one stance to another, making them highly flexible and adaptable to any situation. Their combo-oriented playstyle is inspired by Hwei from League of Legends, and Invoker from Dota.

Very creative, but questionable if this will be added into the game.

Almost definitely not. Losing a weapon means:
    No mythic weapons
No stats from held weapons (A definite disadvantage)
It's probably difficult to update the code to allow certain players to use spells without holding a weapon
    You are now cursed

Still a very well made concept though, super cool idea that obviously took a lot of effort and was well executed.

Very very cool, if they were to add this to the game I'd imagine they'd just add like gauntlets or smth but they aren't really gonna be adding classes anyways.

I love the archetypes and concept (and also how the archetypes feel connected to Wynncraft, like they all have a connection to a region)

Iirc from the original thread the idea was to have no extra item clutter from a new class.

This would fit better in the Your Work board.
