Community Event [Winner Announced!] Battle of the Quests

Can't believe All Roads to Peace lost smh... I have bad memories of beta A Journey Home (an hour of pain and suffering) which may be influencing me but! What really happens in A Journey Home? (obviously I know but it's really short to me). Also this is forcing me to choose between lots of quests I love and I. Don't. Like. It. (especially Hollow Serenity v. Forbidden Prison, The Missing Piece v. Queen's Recruit, and Ensemble v. Off the Rails)

 

I think A Journey Home is so liked because it's the introduction to the "real" parts of Fruma, and going through a tutorial area in reverse is a trope I support. Sure, it's not the most riveting plot wise, but it gets the job done.

 

Sorry, I don't think I'll be extending this round all the way to Friday. I don't want this event to go on for too long.

 

Going through the tutorial area in reverse carried the quest for me. The slay section was a really good touch. In addition, I personally was amazed at the technology of Fruma as soon as I left the Ragni Outskirts. I was not expecting trains...

 

Well, this is a bit of a surprise, we have two ties this round! The A Journey Home vs Overture to Despair and Ensemble of Hope vs Off the Rails matchups have a 50/50 split in votes currently, so I've extended voting by twelve hours.

Only eight quests remain. Four from Fruma's main storyline, two Roughworks sidequests, and two quests that were reworked in the 2.0 update. Many of these quests are really focused story and narrative rather than being gameplay-heavy, which I find interesting. This is something I feel Wynncraft quests didn't really have before now.

And this is where I depart from the form. I just finnished the twin corkus quests, and D&D, soon I shall storm the gates of Fruma!

 

I think it's pretty obvious what the two final quests will be, wonder what the other two quests are gonna be for the divisions though.

But who knows I may be suprised

 

Round 4 has ended, with Off the Rails, Apotheosis, The Missing Piece, and Hollow Serenity all winning by incredible margins.

Going into this event, I expected those four quests to do really well, and my prediction was proven correct. But now that they're all facing against each other, I have no idea which quest will come out on top. I guess we'll find out tomorrow, when I open up voting for the semifinal round!

I'm not upset by the four that remain, but man. Off the Rails was my fav quest of Fruma until Apotheosis (so I picked Apotheosis despite the struggles I had some of the fights). I picked Hollow Serenity over The Missing Piece, and the reason for that is just because of this one stage I was stuck on for a very long time because you have to break the glass to advance. ( I just kept walking around). All of these quests are 10/10.

 

I've preemptively voted against Off the Rails because, regardless of how fun the plot of Apotheosis might be, its boss fights are so bad that it can't possibly be better.

I’m pulling for Hollow Serenity or Off the Rails, tbh; I didn’t like the Missing piece as much as a lot of others, though to be fair I was spoiled on it. And I feel like judging Apotheosis the best is kinda premature because half of it writing wise is still technically not out yet due to the Tasim route still not being in the game (I STG when is it coming)

As you could probably guess by the title, Off the Rails and The Missing Piece are the finalists. They both barely won (Off the Rails won by a single vote, and Hollow Serenity was ahead of Missing Piece for a while), so there's no telling who will be the overall winner. It's a battle of comedy and tragedy as these two Industrial District quests face off against each other!

Literally the opposite of what I was expecting. I'm gonna have to vote for Off the Rails, but it's very close.
