question about profession

so i wanna start doing professions, i play a mage so i was thinking of woodworking (make own staff) and jewelry to make my own rings & necklace. But i just had the question of is it worth leveling these up or is like late game boss loot going to be better over crafted items. i just dont wanna start grinding smt and end up being a waste late game

 

So, the general answer is no. I'm gonna say that there are reasons to level them up, but only if you enjoy grinding. Strictly speaking, non-crafted weapons will always be better; mythics just exceed the power of anything craftable, or at least always have and likely always will, though crafted items can get close in very specific circumstances. For armour and accessories, crafting can actually provide much stronger gear in some cases. For consumables, crafted are basically the only option outside of skill point potions, so they're always good. Selling crafted gear is also extremely lucrative, so if you're willing to grind it out for that, I guess that's an option too? Anyway, crafted gear is viable, and even meta in many cases, just not weapons. That being said, professions are a massive grind, by far the biggest one in Wynncraft and most people don't like them and would generally not recommend them, especially for a first playthrough.

EDIT: I should clarify that my no is just that they probably aren't worth leveling unless you really want to.

 

understand, thanks for the reply. i decided that i wanna atleast level up potion making since i am sure its better to make them myself then to use a lot of emeralds for late game raids & dungeons
